Boundary

Definition

The set of all boundary points of S, denoted S, is called the boundary of S.

Boundary Point:

Definition

A point z0 is called a boundary point of S if ϵ>0, Uϵ(z0)S0 and Uϵ(z0)(C/S)0. That is to say, every ϵ-neighborhood of z0 contains a point in S and a point not in S. Note that a boundary point may or may not belong to the set.

Example:

If S={z:|z|r}S={z:|z|=r}
If S={z:|z|<r}Ur(0)S={z:|z|=r}
